Project Description

Historic Trail

The Weldon Wagon Trail is an old wagon route that connected the town of Husum Wa to the outside world.  It was the main way to get supplies into the town.  There are areas of this trail that would scare me to image taking a wagon across!  This is an out and back trail that is 3.5 miles each direction.  The trail has some great views of Mt Hood and an open field that will be covered with Balsamroot in May.  It also is a reserve for the Oregon White Oak tree.  We will be coming back to this location in May this year so stay tuned for some better images.

The image of Mt Adams was taken from the Horse Camp near Mt Adams – not from this trail.
